would recommend eating here, one of the best tasting fish and chips I had for one. there was a little waiting when it was busy, but it was worth it. the fish was lovely, perfectly crispy and crispy fish. great chips, beautifully cooked. a little expensive, but we were on vacation and have nothing to do with paying for the quality of the food we have.

we had a great high time cote how. the place is perfectly placed in a remote location in the lake district with amazing environment. it is just a short walk to rydal water and surrounded by the mountains, but also very comfortable for windermere and ambleside. we had a little high time with 10 guests, it felt especially and intimate at cote how. caroline, sophie and steve at cote how was great and really helped to make the day special, everything really ran smoothly. everyone who visited the day had a nice time. the measures introduced by cote that meet the restrictions of covid19 helped us and our guests to feel safe, but it has taken nothing from the time we spent there. we could not have hoped for a better day, highly recommended!

fab tea room behind rydal hall with great selection of hearty and cake. even better, they ask for a pull-out bag or the like as they want to take cake to rydal caves and eat it there, and they present it in a small box. 12/10 for customer service and so obligatory cake in box prepared in cave photo as promised
