Having previously visited when the pub was under different ownership/management my friend and I were keen to give it another go and wowzers what a difference….! Firstly the place looks amazing, tastefully decorated with interesting prints etc on the walls and big leather chairs, I’d imagine it’s super cosy in the winter. The menu was a mix of “pub grub” (with a modern approach) and more refined dishes, all using local produce. My friend and I went all out with courses and none disappointed, delicious from start to finish with generous portion sizes that are beautifully presented and excellent value. The highlight was the lemon curd cheesecake….stunning! My only tiny and it is tiny criticism was the manager, who although very accommodating was at times a bit awkward/defensive. I know they had a big table dining in the garden and perhaps staff were stretched. It really was the only “smudge” on a truly lovely evening and certainly won’t deter a return visit! The Kings Head has certainly has raised its game and put itself into the arena with other local more well known pubs. PS: the gin menu is impressive!!!

sue no longer works here! that her team of really brilliant employees offers a super warm reception and provides a tasty meal. a rather extensive menu with an extra specialization board offers more than a few dishes to tempt anyone who is very decent. I had a large cheese and mushroom omelet, which came with a baked spuck and butter, koleslaw and a fresh salad more than a garnur. the pot of good quality tee for a suitable these tea addicts just in terms of size. although sue’s country teapot a board is located in the parking lot and a window on the parking is the entrance over the factory shop. very happy to recommend: if they are immersed in theireham.
