my partner and I traveled for a weekend in the lakes of liverpool. we stayed here in cockermouth on the way by booking a table with ourselves via opentable. I even confirmed yesterday when I was contacted by opentable. we arrived tonight, closed my contact details were provided, I was not contacted, and there was no explanation offered. After I flipped cockermouth, I finally found somewhere to eat, and said that they are now closed by another restaurant manager. to not have the ability to contact a customer, to say that they are closed is terrifying. it would take 30 seconds time and literally cost nothing. if a customer just didn't want to turn on, they'd beat them.
