our local pub during their stay at the air bnb for tram music festival. so glad we went for a few drinks and play the pool. very cheap drinks with limited selection. obvs a local pub, but we were made to feel welcome. give an old school-independent pub a little business to stop them close!

with a family weekend (6 of us) we went on Friday evening to the big gun for a drink, ended 3 hours, fantastic nights, made very welcome by everyone, infact we went back Saturday night, that is a real pub can not wait for my next visit.

beautiful sandwiches, but not enough for two people to share, had refills for coffee, but had to look for personal for refills that was quite annoying. kuchen was nice and all numbs were nice, but very small.

pub, great staff, beautiful relaxed atmosphere and dog friendly. eating is great, especially the cakes. I recently had the steak and stylton cake and it was delicious! these prices are a little high imo, but the drinks (including alcoholic drinks) are very reasonable, so the prices are fair. the workers seem to know everyone and if they have a dog with them, they are quick to ask if they need a water dish. for me personally, I wish they had a handcrafted beer on tap. a beautiful ipa or session camp. it is a bradfield brewery pub, so there are many Cask-Ales, a bradfield camp, that is ok plus boring old carlsberg. they lack my opinion after a nice ipa, certainly are craft beers popular enough in these days that bradfield can make an ipa, each pub in sheffield has at least one punk ipa, or even a camden hells. they have a large beer garden on the back and many benches on the front. it is very busy when the sun is out. if they had better storages or an ipa, king and miller would be a 5* pub all day!

unfortunately we were not able to visit our meal and enjoy how the restaurant phoned to cancel our booking saying that a private rental had taken over the whole restaurant. this was extremely disappointing, as this was a Christmas trip and a very bad form of the restaurant.
